MOUNTING THE LIGHT

We recommend your Riverside light is mounted to your boat using the mounts provided. Please ensure the boat and mount are dry and clean.

Remove the coating from the 3M sticky pad and carefully chose the correct place on your boat to mount the light. Stick one side of the pad to the GoPro style mount and stick the other side to the boat. This must be pushed firmly onto the deck for 10-15 seconds to endure good bonding.

The boat mount can then be slid into the GoPro mount ensuring it is secure and all the way in.

The light clip can then be mounted to the boat using the rubber strap provided. You will only need to use one of the two loops. The other one can be placed around the light or around the base of the clip. Then push the light into the clip.

The lights do not float and although waterproof, they are not underwater lights.

The pads are very sticky and are not easy to relocate once stuck. To remove the sticky pad, gently heating of the pad will soften the glue allowing its removal.

Alternatively, a small amount of methylated spirit, white spirit or WD40 can be used to dissolve the glue. Please test on a small area to ensure it has no effect on the boat surface.

The Riverside light can also be used on kayaks, rowing boats and any boat that needs a secure and bright light.

LANYARD

For extra security and to prevent your light from sinking if knocked from its mount, please use the lanyard included. Use one of the cable ties included to attached the lanyard to the light as shown below and hook the other end to the loop on the light mount.

LIGHT OPERATION

Press and hold the button on top of the light (approx. 0.5 secs) and the light will turn on. Each shorter press will put the light into a different mode. The light has a memory and will turn on to the last mode you were using.

To turn off, hold the button for 0.5 seconds.

CHARGING

We recommend that you use the USB lead supplied to charge the battery as it has a slightly longer reach than standard leads. Please unplug the lead once the battery is charged.

Locate the rubber charging plug underneath the light

Lift the plug to reveal the micro USB port.

Plug in the USB lead supplied.

Plug in the in the other end to the desired charging USB port.

The switch will flash green while the light is charging and then shine constant when the charge is complete.

BATTERY LIFE

Several influences may affect the battery life, such as

Types of cell strain such as continually turning the light on and off and changing modes.

Ambient temperature

The battery voltage and performance may decrease substantially at very low temperatures especially near freezing point. The capacity may decrease by 5 – 10% at freezing point (burn time by up to 50%). At -20°C, the capacity may decrease by 30% and the burn time by 70%. The battery performance will return when the temperature returns to 20°C.
