The Riverside boat lighting system has been born from the market leading cycling helmet light, Topside. Riverside uses the CREE LED technology and USB rechargeable battery giving the lights over 100 hours run time. The bright LED lights are encased in a fully waterproof housing and will survive a lengthy submersion (although not recommended !). They are secured to the deck of your boat, scull, kayak or paddleboard using the tried and tested 3M adhesive pad that GoPro uses on many applications such as aeroplanes and surfboards

Simple and secure waterproof lighting
The Riverside boat lighting system has been born from the market leading cycling helmet light, Topside. Riverside uses the CREE LED technology and USB rechargeable battery giving the lights over 100 hours run time. The bright LED lights are encased in a fully waterproof housing and will survive a lengthy submersion (although not recommended !).
They are secured to the deck of your boat, scull, kayak or paddleboard using the tried and tested 3M adhesive pad that GoPro uses on may applications such as aeroplanes and surfboards. Despite being incredibly secure they can be removed with a number of solvents such as white spirit, methylated spirit and WD40.
The lights have a lanyard hoop on their rear and a corresponding one on the mount for additional security in case the light is knocked by an oar or branch.
Staying seen on the water is not only sensible but also a legal requirement. British Rowing states that rowers must have lights fore and aft on their boats during while on the water at night or in low light. For example on the River Thames; flashing white at the front and constant white at the back. These laws may vary in different locations.
Once attached, the mount can also be used for a camera to aid training and also to attach brighter lights when distance lighting is needed.

Please note, Brightside assumes no responsibility for the loss of a light. The 3M sticky pads are sufficiently secure to adhere the lights to the boat decks. The lanyard is an additional safety feature in case of accidental knocking but does not guarantee the light cannot be lost into the water. Please ensure the mounts are correctly and securely stuck to the boat and the lanyard is attached. Riverside lights do not float.
